Since the ASUS Google Nexus 7 appeared on the scene, competitors in the 7-inch class have had a much more difficult time of it. ?Many a nerd has turned coat on the competition and now favor the better-equipped Nexus 7. There?s so much buzz about the Nexus that other tablets are getting lost in the fray. Mr Ritchie from Australia has now ventured to make a meaningful comparison between the Nexus 7 and one of its competitors, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0.
The device is Samsung?s cheapest tablet, and has only two cores, a CPU from Texas Instruments that clocks ?a little low in comparison and a lower resolution. Samsung?s tablet has more memory, a camera to offer on the back and a microSD card slot to sweeten the deal though. The Nexus 7 has the advantage with the Tegra 3 quad core and the 1024?600 resolution as well as with the price. The 8GB model of the Nexus is under $200 while the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is closer to $300. ?Ultimately, Google?s tablet is superior to the Samsung model in many respects, not least because of the expected updates, but how exactly do the two competitors look in a direct comparison?
